The Beachcomber Island Resort in Fiji is a budget-friendly private island, ideal for those who don't want to spend too much, but want bit of a private island party vibe. There are a range of room types here, from beachfront rooms and private lodges, to the three dorms which can sleep up to 114 guests in total. While that might sound a lot, it means that hiring out the whole, that's right, the WHOLE island isn't as expensive as you might think.

Hotel facilities

Despite only being a small island, this resort packs a bit of a punch, with lots to do on and off the island. From beach volleyball, cocktail mixing and board games, to scuba diving, fishing and snorkelling, you won't get bored. Plus this is the ideal spot to learn about eco-tourism, with things like coral planting and the turtle conservation programme.

With five types of accommodation here, the resort caters to different budgets and group sizes. The three dorms are popular with both backpackers seeking that barefoot island life, as well as school and college groups, while the beachfront rooms and oceanfront rooms provide an upgraded level of comfort.



Beachfront Bures

One of the best accommodations on the island is the Beachfront Bure. There are six of these traditional, yet comfortable, beachfront rooms which effortlessly blend into the surroundings. These rooms can sleep up to 4 adults, and have their own en-suite bathroom and private terrace.

Sunset Rooms

Sunset rooms provide more of a hotel style of accommodation, but still offers those impressive sea views. These rooms can sleep up to 3 adults and either have direct access to the beach on the ground floor, or sea views on the first floor.

Private Lodge

Private Lodges are the most budget friendly private rooms on the island, offering ensuite accommodation for up to 2 adults. 16 of these lodges are nestled into the lush green surroundings and are just a short walk from the beach. These rooms have a ceiling fan instead of air conditioning.

Shared Accommodation

If you're on a budget and don't mind sharing, this private island has three dormitories, two shared (the Vasi Dorm and Grand Dorm) and one women only dorm (the Falekau Girls Dorm). This can be great for backpackers looking for that cheap Pacific island escape while backpacking, or for groups of people on a tour.

Food & Drink

All meals are included here, that means breakfast, lunch and buffet dinner, as well as morning and afternoon tea. Some of the evening entertainment also involves food, like a BBQ on the beach. You can book private dining in advance for your group, which is the perfect way to spend time together on the sand and under the stars. The Sand Bar is a lively place to spend the evening with a range of your favourite drinks and cocktails on offer. There's also a Snack Shack by the pool for when you're feeling hungry outside of mealtimes, although this does cost extra.

Things To Do

You might be heading to Fiji to enjoying some relaxing time on the beach, with your toes between the soft white sand and taking a little dip in the turquoise water every so often. Or you might be here to take full advantage of what this part of the world has to offer. Why not learn about the importance of eco-tourism and sustainability programmes, or head out and go snorkelling to see some of the magnificent marine life in the Pacific Ocean?

In the evenings there usually something going on, whether that's a theme night at the restaurant, or some sort of entertainment like fire-dancing or local dance.

While not you're typical spa, the resort has a range of relaxing treatments to enjoy, from hair braiding and pedicures, to deep tissue massages and traditional Fijian Bobo massages.

Activities

Be sure to grab a snorkel (free of charge to hire) and head out into the crystal clear water to see what's going on beneath the waves. You can also organise to go scuba diving and fishing too.

Getting There

Beachcomber Island Resort is located just 19km west of Nadi bay, making the transfer from Fiji Airport, very quick and easy. The hotel has a daily speed boat scheduled service in the morning to and from Port Denarau, however, they can organise private boat transfers too.
